April 1-Poetry Month

In honor of National Poetry Month, I have been challenged to write a new poem everyday. I’m not a big fan of premeditated writing, but I’m willing to take on the challenge. I will chose to write something for each day in whatever format strikes me at the moment.

I may write something inspiring or something hopeful. Maybe it will be of love or of loss. Or maybe it will just be crap.

Whatever it turns out to be, I will be writing. This should be interesting.

April 1

to touch the face
of love once lost
in light of time
no thought of cost.

to kiss the lips
of spoken word
that seared the heart
with lines left blurred.

to heal the soul
of walls passed through
a fool in light
holds hope once true.
