April 8

I’ve walked along this road so long
stopping to take my breath and view
the sunlight cascading upon the hilltop
the river demanding it’s way on through
oh, how it fills me
like a brush across an empty canvas
erupting at the moment’s touch

I’ve loved along this path so deep
falling to know I’ve won, then lost
the pleasure draping across my skin
the pain hidden beneath the frost
oh, how it fills me
like a wave upon the crystalized sand
departing upon it’s landing stage

I am weak because I was strong
I am empty because I was full
follow me slowly
tell me who I am
tell me who I am
