its verse

everything that she thought
no longer existed
appeared before her
as if the universe had finally
decided
that weakened wings carrying love,
lost and misguided,
needed time to rest.
and while at rest
love found its home.

on white blank pages,
love spread its verse.
saturating page after page,
exhausting and filling,
and as she read
line by line,
and truth released doubt,
and fear became hope,
her heart’s pieces
joined together again.
