on the edge
on the verge
looking down
looking in
as the weighted light
draws me closer
shall I fall?
shall I play this hand?
as gravity plays its part
once again
blindly seeing
through tear soaked glass
that encompassed my eyes
from days gone by
my breath is quick
my pulse is slow
barely alive
yet full of life
exhaustive hope
shoulders succumb
to never reaching
the end of this circular path
wanting to breathe
wanting to expire
and in this moment of complex desire
will it ever be enough?
