Almost Forgot is a gentle reminder app designed to help with everyday tasks, focus, and private note-taking — without requiring an account or collecting personal information.
Information We Collect
Almost Forgot does not require users to create an account, and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. All reminders, lists, notes, and settings are stored locally on your device only.
Notifications
Almost Forgot uses local notifications to remind you of tasks you’ve created. These notifications are scheduled and managed entirely on your device.
Face ID / Biometric Authentication
If you choose to enable the Brain Dump privacy lock, Almost Forgot uses your device’s Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN to unlock this feature. This authentication is handled entirely by your device’s operating system — Almost Forgot does not access, store, or transmit any biometric data.
Data Storage
All content you create in Almost Forgot (reminders, lists, notes, settings, and preferences) is stored locally on your device using standard app storage. This data is not backed up to any external server and is not accessible to anyone other than you. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.
Children’s Privacy
Almost Forgot does not knowingly collect personal information from children, as no personal information is collected from any user.
Third-Party Services
Almost Forgot may rely on third-party platform services (such as Apple’s notification and authentication systems) to support core app functionality. These services operate under their own privacy policies.
